(2) Lubrication In the cutting process, the cutting fluid can penetrate between the workpiece and the tool, forming a thin adsorption film in the small gap between the chip and the tool, thus reducing the tool and chip, the tool and the workpiece The friction between the tools reduces the wear of the tool, which makes the chip removal smooth and improves the surface quality of the workpiece. For finishing, lubrication is even more important.

(3) Cleaning action Fine chips generated during the cutting process are easily adsorbed on the workpiece and the tool, especially when the inner hole is machined, the chip is liable to cause clogging. By pouring sufficient cutting fluid, the chips can be quickly washed away and the cutting can be carried out smoothly. It is wrong to use a thicker extreme pressure emulsion as the cutting fluid when turning the thin-walled finishing car, which plays a very important role in the processing.
