In the past year, Xiangyang has witnessed a vibrant construction boom, with major projects driving economic growth and industrial transformation. Zhengzhou Coal Mining Machinery Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 502 million yuan, has completed its construction and is now operational, significantly boosting production capacity for hydraulic supports and coal boring machines, achieving an annual turnover of 560 million yuan. Meanwhile, SINOMACH Seiko White Dome Abrasives Co., Ltd. invested 1.165 billion yuan in a large-scale relocation project that is now entering the construction phase, laying a solid foundation for the development of Fuyang’s new materials industry.
Fuyang City has been actively implementing its "industrial strong city" strategy, leveraging leading enterprises to drive investment and accelerate the upgrading of traditional industries while fostering the growth of emerging sectors like new materials. Over the past year, 483 projects exceeding 5 million yuan were launched, with 37 key projects—such as Zhengzhou Boiler and Expo Mining Machinery—now fully operational. Additionally, 30 new projects, including those from Wuzhou International and SINOMACH Seiko, were introduced, with a total contractual investment of 25.36 billion yuan. The new materials and equipment manufacturing sector has reached an added value of 15 billion yuan, accounting for nearly half of the city’s industrial economy.
To strengthen traditional industries, Fuyang has focused on building industrial clusters, enhancing product structures, and promoting technological upgrades. The city has established high-standard planning areas to support industrial agglomeration and modernization. Efforts have also been made to attract large enterprises and projects through targeted investment campaigns, with more than 48 business visits conducted last year. For large-scale projects over 500 million yuan, a dedicated "one-on-one" service approach ensures timely tracking and efficient project execution.
Currently, 12 major projects, including the Wuzhou International Industrial Expo City and Zhengzhou Ouli Electronics Group, have signed contracts totaling 10.17 billion yuan. Another 8 projects involving the CSR Group coal machine are under development, with a combined investment of 8.45 billion yuan. Several large-scale projects, such as the China (Zhengzhou) International Engineering Machinery Industrial Park, are progressing smoothly, with 21 ongoing projects and 19 leading industrial initiatives. International brands like Volvo and Hitachi have entered the cluster, with efforts underway to build specialized parks for engineering machinery and after-market services, strengthening Fuyang's position in the global industrial landscape.
Under the leadership of Zhaoda, Fuyang has seized opportunities in the Zhengzhou New Materials Industry Cluster, focusing on high-standard positioning and leveraging top resources, R&D capabilities, and industrial bases to foster emerging industries. The city has adopted a policy of "inviting big and strong" enterprises, organizing over 10 targeted investment events. Project tracking services are streamlined through integrated mechanisms, with each project assigned a chief service officer responsible for coordination and problem-solving. Daily reporting and weekly meetings ensure transparency and timely resolution of issues.
To date, the new materials industry cluster has secured 44 projects, including those from the world’s top 500 companies and industry leaders like Zhengzhou Huajing, with a total investment of 22.3 billion yuan. Key projects, such as the National Machine Seiko White Pigeon and the National Carbon Fiber Engineering Technology Center, are expected to invest 2 billion yuan this year. Fuyang has also been recognized as one of the first eight national patent navigation experimental zones and has successfully established an academician workstation, welcoming renowned scientist Zou Guangtian to lead top-tier technological innovation.
With numerous large-scale equipment manufacturing projects breaking ground and high-tech new materials projects being signed, Xiangyang is steadily building a modern industrial system, widening the path toward new industrialization.
High Frequency Ranging Sensor Module
A high frequency ranging sensor module is a device that uses high-frequency signals to measure the distance between the sensor and an object. It typically consists of a transmitter and a receiver, which emit and receive high-frequency signals, respectively.
The module works by sending out a high-frequency signal, such as ultrasonic or radar waves, and measuring the time it takes for the signal to bounce back after hitting an object. By calculating the time of flight, the module can determine the distance between the sensor and the object.
High-frequency ranging sensor modules are commonly used in various applications, such as robotics, industrial automation, and automotive systems. They provide accurate distance measurements and can be used for obstacle detection, object tracking, or proximity sensing.
High-frequency laser distance sensors have a high measurement frequency and can provide real-time distance data, suitable for scenarios requiring quick responses, such as dynamic obstacle avoidance, autonomous driving, and robot navigation. These sensors ensure that the system can promptly perceive environmental changes and react quickly, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
