Portable body motion power generation system

"Move, move, and finally have electricity generated." When students saw the hands of the omnipotent watch oscillating back and forth, the students in the field swelled with excitement. Recently, teachers and students of the School of Energy and Power Engineering of Yangzhou University invented a power generation system that can convert kinetic energy generated by human motion into electrical energy and can be carried around.

The human body stores enormous energy. According to statistics, the energy stored in fat of an adult is equivalent to the storage of a one-ton battery. In fact, many of the energy generated by human motion can be utilized. Based on this phenomenon, Master Yang used more than a month to develop a power generation system that can collect energy generated by human motion for use in mobile phones, MP3s, and other devices.

The system uses simple electromagnetic induction and piezoelectric ceramic devices to generate electrical energy through the principle that human body motion drives magnets to cut magnetic lines. "As long as there is exercise, there will be electricity generated." Lv students responsible for the research and development explained that "the system is not only applicable to the human body, in theory, all moving objects can be used as its carrier."

“Compared with other similar products at home and abroad, such as a device similar to a 'walking generator' invented by a Canadian scientist, this kind of power generation system has the characteristics of low cost and light weight.” Dr. Qi Qi, the instructor said, “Properly improve its operation. Efficiency, the market prospect of this system should be very broad."
