Application of low pressure casting process on torque converter movement castings

In low-pressure casting, the mold is placed on a closed holding furnace, and the cavity passes through the liquid-liquid passage in the furnace through the riser. During operation, pressurized air is added to the cavity, and the molten metal flows into the cavity from the riser. After the molten metal is solidified, the compressed air in the furnace chamber is released, and the unsolidified molten metal flows back from the riser pipe to the furnace. The aluminum wheel and blade in the torque converter movement have four major advantages: low pressure casting technology:

First: the casting structure is dense and the mechanical properties are good;

Second, the process yield is high. At present, the production rate of die castings in our foundry is over 93%, and the production rate of gravity casting of the same products is 70%~80%;

Third, the productivity is high, and the productivity of the same product in the die casting process is three times that of gravity casting;

Fourth, the surface of the casting is smooth and can reduce the machining allowance.
