Sichuan: 3D laser scanners file for major hazards

Shi Fuqiang, dean of the Provincial Academy of Science and Technology, revealed that the province has established the country's first “Key Laboratory of Major Hazard Sources Measurement and Control”, which will use 3D laser scanning and measuring instruments to build a major dangerous source in the province. At present, this technology has been piloted in the non-coal mines and Xinjin County Chemical Park in Miyi County.

An intelligent diagnostic device on display will end the history of the miners' clever cheating and provide the most useful information for the safety supervision department. Since September last year, it has been installed in the state-owned coal mines in Zhangzhou and Zhangzhou, and is expected to be promoted in the province's coal mines.
