Guangxi Pingxiang City takes measures to do a good job in sugarcane field management and pre-floating work after the disaster

Affected by the strong typhoon “Qi De” on the 13th this year, sugarcane in Guangxi Pingxiang City has experienced different degrees of lodging, sugarcane stem winds and low-lying sugarcane fields, water and dry sugarcane fields, and sugarcane production has been seriously affected. The city took effective measures to actively carry out post-disaster sugarcane field management and pre-dumping work. Up to now, sugar cane has fallen 18,361 acres and has been adjusted to 1850 acres. All towns, departments, and Caiyuan companies quickly acted to mobilize the majority of sugarcane farmers to fight against disasters and self-rescue, quickly resume post-disaster production, and timely remediate the post-disaster sugarcane field management to minimize typhoon disaster losses; meanwhile, cadres and technicians entered the village. Entering households, in-depth production of the first line, especially the production demonstration films, through the field guidance, training courses, printing of technical information, etc., the various technical measures hand-to-face, face-to-face to the masses, and quickly organize the mobilization of the masses to resume production.

The specific technical measures for self-rescue and recovery of sugarcane production after the disaster are as follows:

First, remove the accumulated water, the cane

Immediately within 48 hours after the typhoon, the water was removed and the cane was sown. As long as the roots of sugar cane are not overwhelmed by floods, the cane leaves are still green. Even if they are submerged by water, as long as the growth point is not dead, there is a possibility of remediation. In case of conditions, the sugarcane that is flooded should be drained in time. The water in the field is fixed in time, and combined with fertilization to cultivate the soil, cover the exposed roots and fix the plants. Avoid excessive soaking time and cause the death of sugarcane roots.

1. Dry slope land should be dug in time to drain the water from the cane row, and strengthen the sugarcane plant, pour the mud to compact the sugarcane root, so that the sugarcane plant can resume normal growth as soon as possible.

2. The water in the low-lying land or the dry land is more serious. The soil is muddy. After draining the water, the sugar cane is erected with bamboo, rope, etc., and the sugar cane is compacted. After the typhoon, the sugarcane plant should be restored to normal growth. Untied, so as not to affect the growth of sugar cane; conditional can temporarily raise two cans of sugar cane and use the cane leaves or rope to tie the cane strain into a "cross shape" or two squats in the upper part of the cane plant The three clusters of sugarcane plants are bundled together and become a “cross-shaped shape”. After the typhoon, the sugarcane strain can be unraveled when it grows upright alone, so as not to affect the growth of sugarcane.

3. Late-growing sugar cane that is flooded to the growing point in low-lying land or dry land, should try to drain the water in the sugarcane field within 24 hours to avoid drowning sugar cane.

Second, cleaning the mud

If the flood recedes without rain and the sugarcane leaves are covered with mud, it is necessary to rinse the mud on the sugarcane leaves with water in time to enable photosynthesis. Otherwise, photosynthesis cannot be used to produce nutrients and cannot grow and eventually die.

Third, pay attention to the prevention of rodent and rodent work

The typhoon caused the sugarcane to fall down, which is easy to cause rodent damage. Therefore, after the typhoon, a comprehensive cane field rodent control work should be carried out to kill the rat bait around the sugarcane field; or 2 to 3 packs of ground insects or specials per mu. Phosphorus, etc., can drive away mice and prevent other pests and diseases of sugar cane.

Fourth, increase fertilizer application

The sugarcane land that has been washed by the flood, the fertilizer and the loose mud are all washed away. Apply 50 kg of compound fertilizer or 20 kg of potassium chloride per mu or apply other fertilizers equivalent to this content to provide the necessary fertilizer for the growth of sugar cane and combine the soil. Solid seedlings; for fertilized and well-cultivated soil, only the sugarcane land that is submerged or washed is not serious, and it is necessary to add fertilizer once (20-30 kg of compound fertilizer per acre or 10-15 kg of urea or equivalent) Other fertilizers) to restore growth as soon as possible. If the new cane is not fertilized before the disaster, the sugar cane can be fertilized and treated according to the normal method after returning to life. Pay special attention when fertilizing: there is still water in the sugarcane field and the soil is too wet to be fertilized immediately. When the soil is relatively dry (the soil moisture content is about 75%, that is, the hand is caught in the mud and loosened), otherwise Easy to cause damage.

V. Strengthening integrated pest management

After the typhoon, the sugarcane field has high humidity, poor ventilation, various weeds are mad, and various pests and diseases are very likely to occur, such as tip rot, maculopathy and leaf-feeding pests, such as armyworms and mites, so the sugarcane after the flood, It is necessary to timely control weeds, remove the dead leaves of sugarcane leaves, and make the sugarcane fields ventilate and light, while spraying and preventing diseases (70% methyl thiophanate or 50% carbendazim 50-60 grams per acre 50-60 Kg, foliar spray) insect control (5% sharpening emulsifiable concentrate 30 ml + 18.8% avermectin emulsifiable concentrate 40 ml, 50 to 60 kg of water spray control) to reduce the occurrence of pests and diseases.
