China's wind power industry will further improve the threshold

The rapid development of the wind power industry has never seen so many production accidents this year. The industry believes that the potential problem of “blowout” type development of wind power has begun to intensively erupt, and it is urgently needed to solve the sequelae problem of “wind speed” development. In April, the Electricity Regulatory Commission issued “About Consolidating the Safety Management of Wind Farms, Effectively Preventing Large-Scale Wind Turbine Off-line The Notice of Frequent Accidents, put forward six working requirements. At the same time, the National Energy Administration and other units are drafting the “Entry Standard for Wind Power Equipment Manufacturing Industry”, and the threshold for wind power industry will be further improved. A series of dynamic shows that the country's "rectification" work is stepping up.

At the same time, some local governments have begun to regulate the wind power industry. Wang Bingjun, director of the Energy Development Bureau of Inner Mongolia, said that during the 12th Five-Year Plan period, wind power companies in the region will be consolidated from the current 68 to 25, and new entry companies will also be taken to improve access standards. "The start-up capital for a newly declared project shall not be less than 1 billion yuan and will be profitable for three consecutive years. Otherwise, it will not be approved for construction."

Xinjiang also stipulates that, from 2011 onwards, it will increase the access threshold for wind power projects in the urban district of Daban. For projects that have already been approved, it is required to complete project construction within one year and generate power on the grid.

Some wind power industry sources also believe that after several years of double growth, China’s wind power industry should be rational and moderately “half breaks”. “The construction speed of wind farms is obviously a bit faster,” said Lu Jianjun, director of the wind power office at Chahar Right Banner, Inner Mongolia. "It will be necessary to equip the necessary power grids, management, technology, etc., and moderate breaks are necessary."

Shi Dingyao, the counselor of the State Council and director of the China Renewable Energy Society, said that the rapid development of the wind power industry should cause some calm thinking. The construction plan of a wind power base should not only consider itself, but also need to be coordinated with the grid construction plan.

“After the scale of wind power development reaches a certain level, the miracle that wind power doubles continuously cannot be sustained.” said Wang Ningqi, director of the Wind Power Technology Center of Gansu Electric Power Company. “The rational return of China’s wind power development speed is conducive to promoting the sustainable and healthy development of wind power. ."
